The Golden Spoon is a family-owned restaurant located in the vibrant River North neighborhood of Chicago. Founded in 2010 by Chef Eleanor Vance, our mission is to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy exceptional food and impeccable service. We pride ourselves on using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients to create innovative and delicious dishes that celebrate the rich culinary heritage of America.
Chef Vance's culinary journey began in her grandmother's kitchen, where she learned the art of creating comforting and flavorful meals from scratch. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu, she honed her skills at some of the finest restaurants in the country before returning to Chicago to open The Golden Spoon. Her dedication to quality and innovation has earned the restaurant numerous accolades, including "Best New Restaurant" by Chicago Magazine and a five-star rating from the Chicago Tribune.
